As a kind of follow-up on the David Bowie piece I posted here earlier, I was just sent a link to this very interesting interview from 2002. David in conversation with Danish film-maker, Thomas Vinterberg. Quite lovely. Enjoy. Vinterberg, at the time of this interview, was the same age (33) as Davie was when Davie came to Chicago to perform the lead role in the stage play Elephant Man. Bowie was 33 when he spent much of his “free time” almost every day that month (August, 1980), hanging out with some of my close friends & me, meditating, clubbing, dining, sight-seeing, shopping, & sometimes staying up all night talking about life and art, spirituality and literature, etc.
